Ted Nugent...Stick to the Music..Great White Hunter

Growing up on Rock and Roll, one is certainly aware of Ted Nugent, and his wild guitar work, and hard charging music. He has produced several Rock classics such as 'Cat Scratch Fever', 'Stranglehold', etc. Lately however, he's become a spokesperson for the joys of hunting, and especially the kill. I happened upon his show on 'OLN' while watching the hockey playoffs, and all I could take was about 10 mintes of it. Although I can admire the fact that Ted is who he is, and makes no bones about it, his attitude about hunting really repulses me.

Let me say first off that although I've never hunted, and have no desire to, I've known people who loved hunting, and for a week or so every Thanksgiving would disappear into the great outdoors every year. It was something that they loved, and it was the one family thing that father and his sons would do as a social ritual.

With Ted Nugent however, the guy is just completey out there with his depiction of hunting and how it's necessary and what a wonderful thing he's doing by killing an animal that is pretty much easy pickins for anyone such as Mr. Nugent out in the woods with a scoped rifle or bow and arrow. If you notice, Ted isn't going after any thing that could really threaten his life. Ted, if you really wanted to make hunting a challenge and as much fun as you say, why don't you be a real man and take a knife, or even a machete if that makes you feel more manly, and go out into the jungles of Africa and hunt a lion. Or maybe the wilds of India and see if you can bring down a tiger with your bow and arrow. Then maybe you could really be the 'Great White Hunter' that you fancy yourself to be.
