If you want to make money, or MORE money, with your website, blog, ezine or newsletter one of the primary steps is to evaluate any product(s) or service(s) that you are offering online.

This is one of the fundamental tenets of marketing; examine and evaluate what you are selling ... preferably before you start selling it.

At the very least, you should now do a "quick" evaluation of any product(s) or service(s) of your own that you market online, or any product or service that you market online via an affiliate program, business opportunity, network marketing, work at home, MLM program, etc.

Here are 5 important things to evaluate ...

• the product or service is in demand
  do people want it? do many people want it or does it appeal only to a few people? Is it in demand now, will it be in demand a long time, or is it a quickly passing fad?

• the product(s) or service being sold is high desire
  is it something people strongly want or strongly need to have? does it trigger "I really really really want that" or I really really really need that"? if not, people are not highly motivated to buy it

• product(s) or service is relatively simple
  can people understand the product or service? what it is, what it does, how it works? is it too complicated to use? if so, they won't buy it ... and you make no money

• the price of the product(s) or service is not too low
  if the price is too low you have to make too many sales in order to make decent money

• the price of the product(s) or service is not too high
  if the price is too high few people will buy it and you make little or no money

Think your product or service through. Then make any adjustments that make it a hotter seller or, if it looks like it's not a winner, dump it and find one that is.
