Papayas from Facials to Salsa

 

Papayas are a delicious tropical fruit that so versatile that it can be found in everything from salsas to facial masks. Papayas have an enzyme called papain that helps to dissolve dead skin revealing fresh clean glow. Papayas are also packed full of nutrition so while you are using fresh papayas to brighten your face you can be making fresh papaya salsa to nourish your body.

First begin with the papaya facial.

Papaya Facial

Two ripe papayas diced and placed in small bowl
Add to this 5 Tbs oatmeal to exfoliate
2 egg whites to tighten and firm the skin
The juice from 1 lime to work as an astringent
Stir all the ingredients until well combined
Massage the papaya facial around your face and neck
Allow the papaya facial to remain on for 15 minutes
After 15 minutes rinse well with warm water
Moisturize with your favorite moisture lotion

Then while the facial is working its magic make the salsa.

Papaya Salsa

1 mango peeled, seeded and chopped
1 papaya peeled, seeded and chopped
1 avocado peeled, pitted and chopped
sweet onion, peeled and chopped
2 Tbs Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1 Tbs Light Olive Oil
2 Tbs Balsamic Vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste
Brown Rice Syrup to sweeten if needed

Combine all the ingredients and chill for 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.

This is a fun way to benefit from fresh papayas both on the outside and on the inside.
