Bamboo Curtains

Bamboo curtains offer beauty and practicality to any home, garden or business. As a matter of fact, more and more people are decorating with bamboo curtains because of their durability and good looks. They compliment all types of decors and styles from traditional to modern. They look great on doorways, hung from a ceiling to create a room divider, as a full-length window shade or as a decorative screen in outdoor gardens and archways.

Today, most bamboo curtains are made using the same weaving techniques from years ago blended with modern technology. The curtain is made by cutting thin pieces of bamboo that are boiled, dried and then carefully threaded with wire to create a single, tapering strand of bamboo that is then attached to a wooden top piece. They are hung with nails or screw hooks. Some offer different lifting methods like the roman-fold or the roll-up.

Bamboo curtains are also very easy to clean. Shades being what they are, they can collect dust and other items in the air, gradually forming a film or a grime. You can easily wipe the bamboo curtains off from time time with a damp towel or rag. If you like, you can also dilute some wood cleaner or wood polish in some water and wipe the curtains down with that solution. It shouldn't take much time or effort, and you shouldn't have to do it more than once a week.

Bamboo curtains come in a range of prices. Look for the ones that best suit your decor, but do not overstep your budget. You can find them online or at many brick and mortar furniture stores in your community.
