Three Steps To A Successful Natural Supplement Program

I have been involved in the use and education of natural supplements for over 25 years. I meet people every day who could have saved their health or even improve their health substantially today with the proper use of natural supplements. But there are several barriers in the minds of people, which result in trial and failure or failure to try. I. Good supplements are expensive and there is no government or insurance plan available to cover the cost like for drugs and surgery.

This results in people either not trying good supplement at all or in small doses for too short a period of time.

An example is my friend Walter who had been through open heart surgery, had 3 by-passes and was still weak, tired and out of breath, 18 months later. The doctors were doing all they could and he was taking several drugs, but still no real results. He was supposed to walk a mile a day, but he was just too exhausted.

I convinced him to begin a regiment of OPC ((Oligo Proantho Cyanidin) and a couple of other proprietary products containing high quality potassium, magnesium, Bromelain and other ingredients. I insisted that he take double doses for a minimum of 60 days.

He returned to his doctor in less than 30 days for a check up. The doctor was amazed at his improvement and he was able to walk the mile much better. After another 30 days, he was walking over a mile every day without any problems. Today he has cut back on his dosage. His big regret is that he did not start with supplements 40 years ago.

Step I
Dont skimp on cost and volume just to save money. If your supplement program is to be successful, you must buy quality and use the volume needed. II. Unshakable faith in an MD,(Medical Doctor) but not an ND. (Natural & Nutritional Doctor).

I want to make it clear that I am not here to knock the doctors. First of all, I have a great doctor and I thank God for them. But, my two general practitioners are both very knowledgeable in the field of nutritional supplements and natural medicine as well as fully skilled as an MD.

The only caution I would have to say about your MD is that, like mine, they may have more faith in the MD than the ND approach. Therefore, they tend to not prescribe enough supplements to do the job.

True, there are supplements that can be toxic, not many, but a few. You need to know what they are and follow the prescription in those areas especially.

At my last physical, my doctor outlined a natural program for maintaining god cardiovascular health naturally. I have always tried to avoid drugs if possible. She outlined the toxic items as well. On two of the other items, Vitamin C and Potassium, I doubled the dosage. I know from experience what is needed here.

Step II.
Make sure your MD is pro ND or find an ND also.

III. Be Regular, Consistent and Ever Learning In Taking Your Supplements. Integrate Your Life Style.

Many people start out right, but fall by the way side. Travel, sickness, finances and a million other things will interrupt and stop your supplement program.

I had to find a place to put my supplements so that I would see them every morning and night. (I take no mid day supplements-too easy to miss) I had to buy containers that make it easy to pack the supplements just like my razor or tooth brush when I travel.

If you are unwilling to integrate your supplements into your life style, you will never be successful. Regular and consistent is one of the keys to supplements for good health.

Step III.
Integrate Your Life-Style With Supplements.

Summary:
Three steps to a successful Supplement program.
1. Take quality and quantity supplements
2. Have Supplement friendly MD or add an ND
3. Integrate your life-style to include supplements regularly and consistent.
