Laser Hair Removal Costs

Laser hair removal costs are dependent on many factors. Those clinics giving treatment at low costs often have hidden charges or sacrifice quality in treatment. Factors swaying the cost of treatment may include the location of the clinic, the surface area of the treatment and the number of sessions. The cost of hair removal in a larger body area like the back is distinctly higher than that of the lip for instance. Clients with a greater difference in the tone of the skin and the color of hair generally end up paying less.

With the increased demand in laser hair removal treatment, it is not surprising to find clinics offering their services at absurdly low prices. It is not advisable to go to these clinics without a thorough investigation. Their treatments invariably lack in quality.

Fees for laser hair removal are usually a flat, a certain time segment or per pulse (each shot of laser is called a pulse). The flat fee can be based on the total package or each treatment. In some clinics, the cost of hair removal is the same for all clients. The hair growth determines the cost of the treatment. Some clinics prefer to charge their clients in 15-minute segments. The cost will depend on factors like the amount of hair to be removed, the efficiency of the technician handling the machine and the competence of the machine.

Pricing is also based on the number of pulses required for removal of body hair from a specific area of a body. A pulse will take about a second. For instance, a clinic can charge a dollar per pulse with a set minimum charge. This way the client will end up paying the same amount as the number of pulses, as long as the number of pulses is equal to or more than the minimum charge. With more sittings, the price of the pulses may decrease as the hair growth lessens. The cost can also depend on the kind of laser used for the treatment.
