Mexico Strengthening Tourism; Drug Tourism

Can you see Mexico being the number one Drug Tourist nation in the World and since it borders the United States of America what does this mean? It means Americans will go across the border to by drugs which are illegal here, so they can go and use them there you see? Then they will stay a couple days, spend money, party, stay in a hotel and come home. Sounds wonderful right?

Well, let us consider the impact on our border towns and large cities within 100 miles of the border and the costs to the taxpayers for rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, ongoing education for teens and enforcement when they bring their addictions back with them? And you thought being addicted to Foreign Middle Eastern Oil was bad? This issue is so serious that it was recently brought up in an online think tank when Swift from Las Vegas stated;

I do hope citizens of our country realize that if they get caught doing something illegal in Mexico, our government will not be able to interfere, due to Mexico's laws. They have harsh jails and don't provide the extras that ours do--human rights or civil rights be damned.

Indeed if a drug tourist goes to Mexico and is not in their right mind and does something against their laws and gets thrown in jail for partying, incoherent in public or not having $20 on them for a fake traffic violation on the way home, well who exactly is going to save them from themselves in Mexico? Consider this in 2006.
